What is an intensive driving course?
An intensive course compresses your learning into a much shorter period than weekly lessons. Booking both your theory and practical test is usually part of it, and semi-intensive courses are available if you want time out to pass your theory test first.
A shorter timeframe
Intensive courses are usually offered over one or two weeks, with up to six hours on the road in a day.
1-to-1 every day
4 or 6 hours of one-to-one lessons each day with a local, fully qualified driving instructor.
Semi-intensive options
Semi-intensive courses let you take time out while you pass your theory test.
Why take an intensive course in Oldbury?
The biggest benefit is time. Many people book a week off work, or are close to going back to school or university. Instead of learning over six to eight months, some prefer to squeeze driving into less than a fortnight.
Learning to drive can feel overwhelming at the beginning. An intensive course tackles that head-on, building your confidence on the road a little more each day.
Intensive course prices

How your course works
- 1
Choose your instructor and car
Our male instructors run manual intensive courses, and our female instructors run automatic intensive courses. Pick 10 to 40 hours and pay the £100 deposit.
- 2
Plan your theory test
Pass your theory test before the course if you can. A semi-intensive course leaves room in your week while you do it.
- 3
Drive every day
Four or six hours of one-to-one driving each day, building from Langley and Rounds Green up to the Ringway and the M5 approach.
